🜃 Abalone Shell with Palo Santo 🜃
Abalone Shell (known in NZ as ‘paua’) have been traditionally used in the ritual of smudging as a bowl to catch spent ash, as well as a celebration of their beauty, a gift from mother earth. The inner shell is lined with iridescent ‘nacre’, or mother of pearl, which is created as a lining by the abalone mollusc – this is what gives them their beautiful colouring and unique textures. Typically, the larger the shell, the more vivid the colour(larger shells also have a rougher rear side). When using as a smudging bowl, try lining with a layer of sand or earth to insulate the shell from heat.
Palo Santo can purify the energy of your crystals when you first receive them, and periodically when their energy begins to feel heavy. Hold the Palo Santo stick in one hand and use your other hand to raise your crystal and immerse it into the smoke. Depending on how many crystals you are cleansing, you may have to relight the stick a few times. If you can't lift your crystal, use your hand or a feather to waft the medicinal smoke onto the stone.

RETURNS + EXCHANGES
Returns due to change of mind will be issued with a store credit. Please note that returns will be at your own cost of shipping. We do not offer exchanges, however, you are welcome to return the items following the steps outlined on the Returns page and we will email you a store credit.
DAMAGES + ISSUES
In the unlikely event that an item arrives damaged, please contact us within 7 days so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. We will provide a replacement of the same or similar item.
